Imposing a 53 degree toe angle on a foundered foot without first backing up the toe
This cross-section of a rotated foot shows how imposing a 53 degree toe angle--without first backing up the toe profile--can only be achieved by overly high heels and overly short toes.
If you measure a toe length of, say, 3", and then nip the toe off from the bottom, especially with rotation present, you can over-shorten the toe from the bottom. This sores a horse, and results in coffin bone damage from a tilted coffin bone. X-rays of 2 years of this kind of trimming--toe of coffin bone is eroding and developing a "ski tip":
