LH, January, April, July, October, 2001--LH, May 2000

A summary of ZIlker's LF throughout last year -- with shoes on, after 6 months of barefoot with resultant rotation, his toe beginning to straighten with improved connection and some de-contraction.

Ongoing changes in Zilk's LF. From the side, sole and toe. Toe has straightened a lot, although contraction does not seem to be improving much. Some improvement in collapsed inner heel

RF when I got Zilker with his shoes on showing old scar

RF May 2001 after severe abcessing; separation around toe

Zilker's RF from sole, toe, and both sides. An old injury, toe crack and severe abscessing have made this foot difficult to balance. The outer (scarred heel) is difficult to identify the hairline and the inner side seems chronically high. After abscessing and my concentrating on lateral balance more, the tubules on his toe (July) seem to have drastically changed angles. The crack had grown out but has returned somewhat. This foot drives me nuts -- **all thoughts and suggestions welcomed**

Zilker's posture changes. LH (white) pastern seems to have gotten steeper from April to Oct

Hanging out in the pond -- the only solution to hard feet and summer heat. He has come to love the pond and has shocked himself and me a few times by taking the plunge. Are horses supposed go so far under when they swim?

Collage of Zilker's Left Hind. Toe angle 45 degrees, getting steeper as his forefeet improved and with my backing up his toe. Laterally out of balance mostly with his inside heel collapsed and heels underrun

Zilker's LH before beginning the Strasser trim. Pertaining to the question about heel height. From the rear view, you can see how low the hairline is even though the wall length is very overgrown. So how do I measure his heel height?
