Duster
Still shod--
Duster is a 3 yo AQHA filly I started under saddle April 2000. Vet & Ferrier
told
me she needed shoes to support (ferrier) & correct (vet) her underslung heels
before I began to ride her. Here are pics of her first and only set of shoes in
her lifetime. Photos taken 6-28-2000.

Duster's Hooves after we pulled shoes and began trimming
her trying to correct
and open up her underslung heels--7-25-2000:

LF--What are these ridges? Someone told me they are
founder. These
appeared after my first Strasser trim. This hoof is 1/4 inch larger than
right
front across sole and steeper in angle. Other hoof is turned out slightly.
RF--Look at the heels now! Right front medial view,
this is the hoof that is turned out slightly
and measures 1/4 inch smaller on sole, quarter to quarter.
