BLM mustang
BLM Mustang--notes
BLM Mustang
Following first trim, June 2003. Extensor bearing obvious, heels were lowered
but the horse physically could not weight them due to long-term pain issues in
the heels. His shoulder muscles were still tight.
BLM Mustang LF medial view
This photo shows how the heels are purposely floated via the trim. The frog can
be seen touching the ground if you look beyond the relieved portion of
heel/quarter wall.
BLM Mustang June 2004
Trim done in June 2004 showing the floated heel and also the changes to the hair
line angle. The back at the knee condition is still present but the pastern
angle has improved compared to the photo taken a year earlier.
